Cork print firm gets custom-built plant

A DEVELOPMENT site of 1.4 acres at Cornmarket Street, Cork, is to be offered for sale next autumn when Cork printers Guy & Company relocates from its city centre premises to a new custom-built facility in Ballincollig. The company occupies a building of 63,000 square feet in Cornmarket Street, which is about 30 metres from Grand Parade, Patrick Street. It also adjoins Paul Street Shopping Centre.

Dublin agents Harrington Ban non is to handle the sale of the site, which is likely to be of interest to Irish and UK developers as well as retailers and hoteliers. Guy & Company, a subsidiary of the Clondalkin Group, is to refurbish and extend a building which will eventually have 80,000 square feet. The company plans to spend £6 million on the new building and new technology.
