A decade ago, club owners were rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of the profits they were going to make from Millennium Eve. But punters said no to exorbitant door fees and overblown superstar DJs. A decade on, New Year’s Eve is still a big night out, but one with far less hype.

As always, the Shinegang lead the way with a monster set featuring Green Velvet, Japanese Popstars, Chris Duckenfieldand many more in Belfast. In the capital, you can go indie with the Transmissionkids, pretend you're in Studio 54at the POD, or enjoy some quality house tunes with Faze Actionat 4 Dame Lane.
