Performers tend to shine on the Fringe, but the Read Company has gone one step further and ditched the writer altogether

Performers tend to shine on the Fringe, but the Read Company has gone one step further and ditched the writer altogether. Taking hints on characterisation from the audience - on Monday night the protagonist had to be a hunchback with a fear of the colour yellow, who also studied martial arts - eight actor/comedians improvise a series of short comic scenes, taking the plot in increasingly wacky directions ("yellow killed my Mammy!").
