When we heard that Piccolo Lasso and the Lassus Scholars were putting together an album called Wedding Memories from Ireland we had thoughts of The Way We Were and Close to You being crooned, but no, it's a sacred menu: "Ave Maria, Ave Verum, the Panis, and a mixture of hymns which could be played in services of any denomination, such as Be Thou My Vision, I Vow To Thee, My Country and The Lord Is My Shepherd", lists off Ite O'Donovan. It's designed to help you decide what music to have at your wedding, but also as a gift to remember a wedding by, "Like if your granny had a particular hymn at her wedding". It will be available from next week.
