Wilkes called Lough Fee, Connemara, and dating from around 1940, sold for £2,600 at last Sunday's house clearance sale conducted by Town & Country auctioneers on Clontarf Road, Dublin. An Edwardian inlaid envelope card table - went for £1,060, a Victorian white marble fireplace with moulded top fetched £850 and a Victorian mahogany two-door bookcase sold for £800.
