The American computer training group Gartner is to expand its Limerick operation, in an investment that will create 125 jobs over the next three years.

Gartner, part of Dun and Bradstreet, acquired Mindware Training Technologies of Limerick last year and the facility currently employs 26 people in the development and sale of computer based training in computer networking and telecommunications.

The expansion of the Limerick operation will make it the main Gartner facility for the development of software products for computer based training and will also be responsible for the continued development of the existing product range and the provision of support services for an international sales force.

Recruitment for the expansion will begin immediately and the jobs will be filled by graduates with software engineering, technical writing and graphic design skills.
