A MARKETING study on the opportunities for selling Irish knitwear in France won the 1996 National Student Marketing Award, An Bord Trachtala said yesterday. Ms Sinead Hayes (right) who received her BA degree from Dublin City University this year, studied for a year in France while researching her project. Congratulating her on the award, the Minister for Tourism and Trade Mr Kenny said the Irish knit wear sector had transformed itself into a vibrant fashion leader providing 4,500 job and annual exports touching £70 million.
