Assurelink - a joint-venture company set up by the eight largest life assurance companies in the State - will lead an e-commerce business-to-business project that will provide a new online quotation system for distributors. OmniQuote will enable more than 1,000 independent financial advisers to get instant online quotes for life and pensions products.

The project is the result of a £2 million (€2.5 million), 18month development programme. Assurelink already provides secure e-mail facilities for financial advisers.
