The HRM Recruitment Group has appointed Ms Rachel Ryan as business unit manager for its new office in Limerick. Ms Ryan joined from the Smurfit Group in 1994 and is a graduate of the National College of Industrial Relations.
The company decided to establish an office in Limerick because of the strong demand in recent years in sectors like IT, engineering and accountancy.
Adare Printing plc has appointed Mr James Osborne to its board. Mr Osborne was formerly managing director of A&L Goodbody and is a director of Golden Vale and Ryanair among others.
The Tanaiste, Ms Harney, has appointed Mr Brian O'Connell and re-appointed Mr Kieran Keenaghan to the board of the Shannon Free Airport Development Company, with immediate effect.
The President of the IFA, Mr Tom Parlon, has been appointed to the board of An Bord Bia, by the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Joe Walsh. Mr Parlon from Birr, Co Offaly goes onto the board with immediate effect and will serve until November 15th, 1999.
Canada Life has appointed three senior members to its new investment subsidiary in the Republic. Mr Joe Mottley joins as equity fund manager with overall responsibility for co-ordinating equity strategy. Mr John Looby joins as bond portfolio manager with responsibility for the fixed interest and short-term assets portfolio.
Mr David Black is joining as the operations manager with particular responsibility for administration and compliance.
The new director of the Bar Council of Ireland is Mr Jerry Carroll. Before joining the council, Mr Carroll was head of the international financial services centre section of the Department of Finance.
Mr Carroll will be particularly concentrating on the expansion of existing services and technology at the council, including projects like the legal research centre.
Mr Kevin Murphy has become associate director of sales and marketing at Interface Business Information, which is an associate company of French & Associates, the credit management company.
Mr Gerard Niland and Mr Declan Maguire have been made senior broker consultants at GA Life's Dublin office.
Prior Communications has appointed Ms Claire O'Sullivan as account director. Ms O'Sullivan joined the company two years ago as an account manager from the European Commission.
Collins McNicholas, the human resources consultants, has named Mr Gerard Tuohy as regional manager, based at their offices in Dublin.
