There is no inherent contradiction between the interests of farmers and consumers, the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Mr Walsh, said yesterday. At the launch of a booklet on food safety, "The Safe Food Chain - Every Link Is Vital", Mr Walsh said today's consumer had high expectations of the food and farming sector.
