Computerlinks, the German subsidiary of computer services group Fayrewood, has reported a rise in first-quarter earnings before tax, depreciation and amortisation to €3.28 million, a 199 per cent rise compared to the previous quarter in 2000. Sales rose by 179 per cent to €38.5 million while earnings per share doubled to 34 cents.

Fayrewood, which was founded by Irishman Mr Pierce Casey, acquired ComputerLinks in December 1997 for £3.2 million sterling (€5.14 million). Fayrewood retains a 51 per cent holding.
