Allegations of money laundering and corruption are shaking Pakistan and at the centre of the controversy is the family of the prime minister. Correspondent Special (Saturday, 6.40 p.m., BBC2) reports on the allegations of massive loan defaults, fake bank accounts and vanishing millionaires.

The movement to persuade the G8 leaders to cancel Third World debt at their forthcoming summit is growing. In Leviathan: A Load of Bankers & Apocalypse Now (Wednesday, 7.30 p.m., BBC2) comedian Jo Brand challenges a fictitious bank clerk about the debt crisis. IMF loans come at a price, the programme concludes, that is why as many as two million children in Tanzania don't go to school.
