£0.3m seed capital for hi-tech firms

The Dublin Seed Capital Fund Limited has completed investments of £100,000 in three young technology-led companies based in Dublin. Announcing the total £300,000 investment, the Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney, described the three as excellent examples of innovative Irish companies. AV Edge Ltd, established in 1996, specialises in the development and production of educational video and television programmes. Scientific Systems Ltd designs, manufactures and markets diagnostic measuring equipment used in the international semi-conductor industry. Pentus Ltd, set up in 1997, has developed a component placement system for the semi-conductor industries.
