A better organised and sharper St Mary's, Belfast eased their way through to the Sigerson semi-final against a very disappointing Trinity side in a lifeless and lack-lustre game in Clones on Saturday.

Trinity College did not score until the 14th minute of the second half, by which stage St Mary's led by eight points and, in truth, should have been much further ahead, such was their grip on the game.

St Mary's led at half-time by 0-4 to 0-0. In the second half, Trinity enjoyed their best spell after Ian Fitzgerald's opening score, but St Mary's had an ace in the pack with Mark Harte hitting some superb points to keep his side on course.
