Razik can start the night off on the right note for punters by winning the Prix Du Lion D'Angiers Mile at Gowran Park this evening.

Only four go to post for the conditions event, but with the O'Brien, Weld and Oxx teams represented, this could be a tight enough little race. The fourth runner is Miss Emer from Noel Meade's yard and she can't be ignored either, but on balance Razik look the one.

The Dayjur colt, a winner at Fairyhouse in May, has been beaten twice since, by Desert Fox at Tipperary and when third to Attractive Crown at Naas last month.

Both were smart efforts, and last time out Chateau Royal was a well beaten fourth in the same Naas race. The O'Brien colt has been running in better company than this and at his best would be favourite but he looks a frustrating character.

Keriyoun mananged to beat Maya by a neck when tried in blinkers for the first time at Leopardstown on Saturday and may be a bigger danger to Razik.

Dermot Weld and Michael Kinane may also win the following juvenile maiden with Beauty Go Leor, a Cadeaux Genereux colt who ran a nice race when runner-up to April Starlight at Naas in May and should have improved for that.

Jim Bolger's string are starting to hit a streak of form and he and jockey Kevin Manning could be on the double mark, too. The Cork winner Rose Petal is just preferred in the Rath Handicap, while in the ESB Maiden, Prince Minata, third to Mystery Dream at the Curragh, with the subsequent winner Rhine Valley only a length away in second, is selected to beat Magical Shot.

Oxx and John Murtagh shouldn't leave the track emptyhanded, however, as Nicola Bella has shown the sort of ability which should make the Kiln Maiden an easy task for her. Frances Crowley's Rainbow Tour is the pick in the bumper, while Sunday's Naas runner-up Attack At Dawn may go one better in the handicap hurdle.
