ANDREW IMPEY'S 81st minute strike gave Queens Park Rangers their first point since the departure of manager Ray Wilkins and prevented Norwich going second in the English League first division.

Norwich appeared to be cruising to their fifth win in six League games after grabbing a deserved first half lead courtesy of Neil Adams's superbly struck free kick.

But the managerless visitors were rewarded for an improved second half display as Impey crashed the ball home from just outside the area after defender Rob Newman had only half cleared a Trevor Sinclair free kick.

The strike, which appeared to take a slight deflection, completed a miserable 60 seconds for Norwich, who had just been reduced to 10 men following Danny Mills' foul in Sinclair, his second bookable offence.
