HAVING appeared to be out of the reckoning at half-time, when they trailed 1-8 to 0-2, Dublin recovered well to extend a strong Offaly side in the Leinster under-21 hurling championship semi-final in Mullingar last evening.
Offaly, with a number of their senior side included in their lineout, completely dominated the opening 30 minutes.
Dublin were a transformed side on the change of ends and, with Emmet Carroll sparking their revival by scoring 1-3 in the space of eight minutes, they got to within three points of their opponents.
In the hectic closing minutes a point by David O'Meara with almost the last puck of the game secured Offaly's victory.
