Galway U 0 Bohemians 3:GALWAY UNITED supporters greeted their new manager, former player Jumbo Brennan, with acclaim despite another loss last night at Terryland Park.

Galway were incensed as a string of decisions went against them. Bohemians scored after nine minutes. Referee Rob Rogers awarded them a soft free kick for an off-the-ball Yob Son foul on Christy Fagan and Killian Brennan converted the 30-yard set-piece.

Eleven minutes after the restart Galway were reduced to 10 men when Stephen Walsh received a second caution for standing in front of a Bohemians free-kick. To compound Galway’s woes, Bohemians were awarded a penalty on 57 minutes when Son was deemed to have fouled Fagan and the latter scored from the spot-kick.

Galway goalkeeper Conor Winn made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable but Fagan scored again late on with a toe -poked effort.
