Robert Murphy came back from the dead at the Ivy Rooms in Carlow last night to book his place in the semi-finals of the world under-21 snooker championships. Trailing 3-2 at one stage and then 4-3, the Dubliner produced an 88 break in the last frame to end the hopes of James McBain.

Earlier on in the day T J Dowling lost to Marco Fu. Also through to the semi-finals are Bjorn Hanaveer and Andrew Norman.
