ULSTER SHC FINAL Loughgiel Shamrocks 2-18 Ballycran St Joseph's 0-8:IT TOOK Loughgiel Shamrocks until the second half to get to grips with Ballycran, having led by only 0-8 to 0-5 at the interval in dreadful conditions.

It was a different Loughgiel in the second half and by the end of the third quarter the winners had stormed into a 1-13 to 0-6 lead.

The scoring spree began with a rasping goal two minutes after the restart as Eddie McCloskey fired home. Brendan McCarry slammed the door shut with his side’s second goal on 57 minutes.
