Kanu's country calls

Nigeria are to plead with Arsenal to release star striker Kanu for the Sydney Olympics.

Highbury boss Arsene Wenger, who does not want the 24-year-old to miss several weeks of Arsenal's Premiership campaign, revealed at the weekend he was set for talks with the Nigerian Football Association (NFA).
