News: Fredrik Jacobson has leapt into the world's top 20 for the first time following his victory in the Volvo Masters at Valderrama.

Jacobson was 41st going into last week's event. But his win at the fourth hole of a play-off with Spaniard Carlos Rodiles takes him to 19th. The 29-year-old is also now lying third in the race for places in next September's Ryder Cup side.

Lee Westwood and Miguel Angel Jimenez lead the way in the Ryder Cup world points list - with Dutchman Maarten Lafeber and Rodiles fourth and fifth, while the players heading the Order of Merit list from which another five players will qualify are France's Raphael Jacquelin, English pair Brian Davis and Ian Poulter and Ireland's Darren Clarke and Padraig Harrington.
