Athletics: Hungary's top 100 metres sprinter Gabor Dobos has tested positive for raised levels of testosterone and faces a life ban, the Hungarian Athletics Association said yesterday. Dobos failed a test on May 27th in Riga but only received notification this week.

Dobos is awaiting the result of his B sample and if that also proves positive, he will be banned for life because he has already served a two-year suspension after a failing a test in 2000.

Dobos has been withdrawn from this month's European Championships together with Hungary's 4x100 relay team.

American Olympic 100 metre sprinter Justin Gatlin has recently tested positive for raised levels of testosterone, which helps recovery after exercise and increases energy and strength.
