There was a lovely surprise waiting for Middlesbrough fans Pete and Jo Curry when they returned from their honeymoon in Mexico last week - the front of their house had been painted in the colours of Newcastle United, the front door was bricked up with breeze blocks, the ground-floor windows had been boarded up and a huge Newcastle banner hung from the roof.
"He is always winding me up, saying when I go away he will paint my house red and white so when he went on honeymoon it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get him," chuckled Paul Bristow, Pete and Jo's Newcastle-supporting friend. We can think of no English judge who would not dismiss charges of grievous bodily harm against Pete and Jo should they decide to brick up Paul's face with breeze blocks. None.
