GAA: CONNACHT UNDER-21 FC FINAL: Galway 1-10 Roscommon 0-4GALWAY TURNED on the style to secure their 17th title at this grade and give the county a badly needed boost at Pearse Stadium on Saturday. They played an excellent brand of passing football to blow the holders away and the game was over as a contest by the interval when the Tribesmen led 0-6 to 0-2 despite having played against the strong wind.
Mark Hehir, Patrick Sweeney and Danny Cummins were superb in attack for Galway, with full back Colin Forde and wing-back Tomás Fahy also outstanding.
Galway dominated midfield with Tomás Flynn, until his late dismissal for a second yellow card, and Fiontán Ó Curraoin on top.
