Punchestown begins its winter campaign with a pretty average card tomorrow but for those interested in proceedings at Longchamp, live pictures will be available on the close circuit televisions.

The horses running in the most valuable race, the £9,000 Ingoldsby Handicap Chase, will never have any Longchamp pretensions but it presents an interesting riddle for punters and it's one that Excuse Me Sir looks up to solving.

Eugene O'Sullivan's horse may not have lived up to expectations held of him in his younger days but he did run an encouraging race at Listowel last week behind Scallybuck and looks a value bet to reverse the form.

For one thing there is over half a mile further to travel tomorrow and that should suit this dour stayer ideally and he is also 6lbs better in. Glacial Waters and Florida Star will also come into calculations but it's Excuse Me Sir who is preferred on the likely soft ground.

The nap however goes to Annieirwin in the seven furlong maiden. Her one run this year was when fourth to Scottish Memories over nine furlongs at the Curragh a race that she was travelling very well in at tomorrow's distance.
