Ireland, England, and Scotland all finalised their teams for the Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews in October following the completion of the German Open in Berlin and there were no last minute shocks.

Padraig Harrington, who finished joint second in Berlin, and Paul McGinley, who was joint 24th, will line up for Ireland with Darren Clarke at St Andrews.

Eamonn Darcy or John McHenry could have made the team had they won in Berlin, but they finished joint 20th and joint 50th respectively.

Lee Westwood, David Carter and Peter Baker, none of whom played in Berlin, will form the England team. Paul Broadhurst, Van Phillips and Ian Garbutt could have forced their way into the team had they won the German Open, but Phillips, in joint 13th place, five shots behind Australian winner Stephen Allan, came the closest to victory.
