Ruud Gullit has warned Alex Ferguson not to underestimate the threat Newcastle poses to his dreams of an unprecedented and historic Treble.

Gullit's team go into battle against Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup Final today as the Old Trafford side look to secure their second trophy in a week.

The Red Devils, who pipped Arsenal to the Premiership crown last Sunday, also travel to Barcelona on Wednesday to meet Bayern Munich in the final of the Champions' Cup - the one piece of silverware Ferguson craves more than any other.

"We have a very good chance of winning this cup, everybody knows that," Gullit said. "That is the vibe that's coming through the club. The attitude and concentration is incredible."

The bookmakers have Ferguson's team as strong favourites to lift the FA Cup, which comes as no surprise given the recent records of the two sides.

Newcastle's last victory came in their semi-final success over Spurs on April 11th and their Premiership season ended with a slump in form that saw two defeats and four draws in their last six matches.

Ferguson's side by comparison have not been beaten since Middlesbrough's shock 3-2 victory at Old Trafford on December 19th - an astounding run of 31 games without defeat in all competitions.

Gullit is convinced, though, his men have the ability to shake off their recent malaise and rip up the form book under the Twin Towers.

Despite banning the "F-word" from St James' Park, Gullit admits Newcastle's minds have solely been concentrated on the final.

He said: "The FA Cup was the only way we were going to achieve anything this season and the players have focused themselves on the final.

"The FA Cup has really been in the way for us. From the moment the players knew the possibility of silverware was there, their concentration in Premiership matches was gone.

"From the moment we realised we were in the final, all of a sudden it was a relief. All of a sudden the team were playing in third gear instead of fifth.

"On one side I can understand it, but I won't accept it. I expect a lot of my players this week and already I have seen a different team. They are totally different and very focused."
