WATERFORD SHC/De La Salle 0-18 Mount Sion 2-8:TITLE FAVOURITES De La Salle overcame a stern challenge from their city rivals in an epic semi-final at Walsh Park on Saturday last. The teams were level four times in the opening half and Sion led 1-05 to 0-06 at half-time.

Early second-half points levelled matters before county star Kevin Moran put De La Salle in the lead with a monster point, but Sion regained the lead after 47 minutes when substitute Anthony Kirwan netted.

However De La Salle finished strongly to advance to the final.
