England loose forward Lawrence Dallaglio has been cleared to travel to Australia with the Lions next month after leaving the field in a club match on Sunday.

The former England captain went off at half-time in Wasps' match against Bath after sustaining a knee injury.

Wasps' chief Nigel Melville said Dallaglio would be fit for the tour which includes three Tests against the World Cup-winning Wallabies in June and July.

"He felt a tweak and decided to come off at half time," Melville said. "It is nothing serious."

Harlequins enjoyed a double dose of good news yesterday, beating Cornwall 74-5 and then revealing that hooker Keith Wood and outhalf Paul Burke will be fit for the European Shield final showdown against Narbonne.

Harlequins, faced with a blank four weeks before facing the French club at Reading on May 20th, arranged the "warm-up" match against Cornwall to keep them on the boil.
