Monaghan's record-breaking county championship winners Castleblayney Faughs forced a 2-6 to 1-9 draw with the Derry champions Bellaghy. At the interval Castleblayney had chalked up a 2-4 to 0-4 lead over the visitors but on resumption the Derry men went ahead by a point after trailing by two goals.
Castleblayney stalwart Kieran Tavey, however, levelled the scoring. The replay is expected next Sunday at Ballinascreen.
