Brazilian club Vitoria have agreed to free disgruntled striker Bebeto and are close to reaching terms for him to return to Deportivo Coruna, an official for club sponsors Banco Excel said yesterday.

Vitoria originally rejected an offer from the Spanish club but Banco Excel official Sergio Toniello said that the club and the bank, which owns the player, had agreed there was no point in holding back Bebeto who signed a three-year contract in January.
