Sir, - Great credit is due to all concerned in bringing the Tall Ships Race to Dublin. We enjoyed the wonderful carnival atmosphere along the quays, admiring the vessels at close quarters. A shame that Dublin Corporation could not rise to the occasion and empty the litter bins, filled to overflowing on Saturday afternoon. A shame the DART services could not cater for the numbers. We waited 19 minutes at Tara Street Station at 5.30 p.m. and then the train was so full a woman fainted in our carriage. - Yours, etc.,
