Sir, - It is a sad and retrograde step to see the RTE weather forecast going down market. The previous presenters were not just professional meteorologists, but also very professional presenters, with their own idiosyncracies and personalities that made the forecast interesting and informative.
The only part I now find worth watching is that wonderful, surreal graphic at the beginning. Then I switch over to the BBC for an informative and professionally presented forecast. - Yours, etc.,
