Sir, - Kevin Myers (An Irishman's Diary, April 24th) may be right when he criticises the presence of the Defence Forces as a guard of honour for the reliquary of St Therese of Lisieux.
He is certainly right in his criticism of the "Theresemobile" - a word which I find vulgar and irreverent.
In my view, he is certainly wrong when he implies that the relics of St Therese should not be brought to the Republic. I, for one, am looking forward to visiting the reliquary in Limerick on June 18th and 19th. - Yours, etc.,
