Sir, - So where do we go from here? The IRA have bombed Manchester. This means that Sin Fein have lost their last chance of being admitted to The Talks. This means that the SDLP are now on their own and will never have the strength which comes from being part of a "nationalist consensus". This means that the unionists will" increase their barnyard antics: until the SDLP are forced to walk out. This means that either the whole charade will collapse and we will be back to that most peaceful option - direct rule - or the unionist mini Stormont circus will be allowed to continue unchecked.
The IRA have already re-started their campaign. The only question remaining is: what can we do to keep the bloodshed out of Ireland?
And to think I nearly switched my vote to Sinn Fein! - Yours, etc.,
