Madam, - Perhaps, now that the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants is at last in place, the time is appropriate to point out to the owners of such premises that the ban covers the entire premises. Terraces, beer gardens, double-decker buses, converted outhouses, any structure or space that is included in the lease or the licence is covered by the new law. This also means that smokers, who huddle in the porches or doorways of pubs and eating places, are breaking this law. - Yours, etc.,
