Sir, - Ms L. Weir (November 15th), seems to be under the impression that having an abortion is a situation "which directly affects only them", them being the women having the abortion. No matter what her opinion on the subject is, an unborn child is a potential human being. So without any doubt, there are two people affected in an abortion. A mother and her child in her womb.
