Sir, – I wish to congratulate Dublin City Council on the new park and playground Diamond Park in Dublin 1 off Gardiner Street. It’s great to see new, well-designed public infrastructure in the city centre.
I’ve taken my young son to the playground a few times and it has lots of cool stuff for kids and adults. I really hope it’s well maintained; I also noticed there were some security guards, which is to be welcomed.
Let’s have much more of this – new, open, well designed and fun spaces that everyone can enjoy in our city centres. They are not hard to create, don’t require much space, and over time and if done properly, can change how a place is perceived and used for the better. More such places will improve our city centres and encourage more people to consider living centrally. – Yours, etc,
