Sir, – The RTÉ controversy over payments, and lack of corporate accountability from the board regarding same, should be contrasted with the recent resignation reported in your newspaper this week from the HSE board by Brendan Lenihan over a lack of clarity on the budget shortfall in the HSE annual plan (News, June 28th). The HSE now has to go back to the well for €2 billion in what is a depressingly regular annual overrun.
One is an excellent example of personal accountability from a board figure, and one is not. – Yours, etc,
