Sir, - I found Fintan O'Toole's article about the notion of Dana as President very amusing (did Kevin Myers help him write it?) and, as usual, full of insight. But to suggest that "about a third of the electorate is probably open to the influence of hardline (Catholic conservative) orthodoxy" is a bit extreme, surely. He says that the conservatives' vision is clouded; well, its time he cleaned his glasses. - Yours, etc.,
