A 42-year-old man died yesterday after the car he was driving struck a parked vehicle in Co Dublin. The accident happened at Kinsealy Court off the Malahide Road at about 7.20 a.m. Mr Michael Ward, from Kinsealy Court, was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Early yesterday morning a man was killed when he was knocked down by a car while crossing a road in Clonmel, Co Tipperary. Mr Fred Freiberg (42), of Elm Park, Clonmel, was pronounced dead on admission to St Joseph's Hospital, following the accident which happened on Heywood Road at 12.15 a.m. He was married and had two grown-up children.
