Two people have died following accidents over the weekend and a man injured in a fire earlier this month has died. Mr Pat Hennessy (27) from Inch, Co Kerry, died a week after the fire at the home of John Herlihy (43) from Kielduff, Annascaul, who died at the scene.
In Ballinasloe, Ms Mary Fallon (84), died in a fire at her home, also on Saturday. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out today.
In Dublin, a 19-year-old man died after being pulled from the Royal Canal. The incident happened at about 3.30 a.m. yesterday.
