Two men who died in a fire at a hostel in Belfast last night have been named.
They were Hugo Brannigan (62) and Jim Irvine (42). Both were resident at the Morning Star Hostel in Divis Street, west Belfast.
Three other people are being treated in hospital for smoke inhalation.
The fire brigade and police were called to the fire at the hostel at about 2.30 a.m. There were 18 people, including staff, in the hostel at the time of the fire.

A spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said a cause of the fire is not yet known and that a forensic team will examine the scene today.
Assistant Principal Fire Officer Mr Alex Withers said it appeared to have been an accidental fire and there was no sign of anything malicious.
