Two Irish holidaymakers have been found drowned in a swimming pool attached to their hotel on the Italian island of Sardinia.
The pair, a man and a woman, were discovered in the pool at the Oasis Hotel in the resort town of Alghero.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is liaising with the Sardinian authorities in a bid to obtain details of the incident. The pair have not yet been named.
