The North's First Minister, Mr David Trimble, will leave Belfast on Sunday for a weeklong tour of the United States and Canada. An honorary doctorate will be conferred on the Ulster Unionist Party leader by Boston College on Monday.
Mr Trimble is expected to brief the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr Jean Chretien, and other politicians on the latest developments in the peace process.
