The first meeting of the Stormont Executive to be jointly chaired by First Minister Mr David Trimble and his newly-elected Deputy, Mr Mark Durkan will take place today.
It is believed that the sectarian violence in north Belfast will be top of the agenda, together with the forthcoming Budget due to be presented to the Assembly next month.
The Executive will also continue its consultation process on the draft Programme for Government which was the subject of a seven hour debate in the Assembly last night.
During the debate many members voiced concerns about omissions in the draft programme, with underfunding of the health service one of the most frequently raised issues.
The final draft of the document setting out the administration's aims and objectives will go to a vote in the Assembly on December 10th.
