Traffic wardens who were due to transfer from the Department of Justice to Dublin Corporation yesterday have been given a stay on their transfer until April 29th. The traffic wardens' representatives will meet corporation and departmental officials today. The wardens' works committee will meet later today to discuss the outcome of the meeting. Traffic wardens' representatives say only a small minority of them will be retained in that capacity by the corporation with the rest being redeployed within the local authority. They will seek clarification on redeployment at today's meeting.
