Torrential storms have killed at least 13 people in Cambodia in the last week, officials said today.
Flash floods killed eight people, many of them children, in southern coastal areas and eastern provinces along the swelling Mekong river. Three people were struck by lightning.
A man was killed yesterday when his boat sank in a storm on the Mekong, police officials said.
A lightning strike killed a pregnant woman in the northern province of Kampong Chhnang. Lightning also killed two in the eastern province of Kampong Cham - a man (66) in his home and another man in a rowing boat on the Mekong.
