Three Irishmen were remanded in custody yesterday to November 26th when terrorist charges will be preferred against them at the Old Bailey.

They are Mr Liam Grogan (21) of Naas, Co Kildare, who faces a charge of conspiracy to cause an explosion in London as does Mr Darren Mulholland (19) of Dundalk, Co Louth. The third man, Mr Anthony Hyland (25) whose address is not given, faces charges of conspiracy to cause an explosion and possessing explosives.

The men had been arrested in raids in London last July following a joint intelligence operation between gardai and Scotland Yard and have been held in custody in Belmarsh High Security Prison since then. They made a 15-minute appearance at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court yesterday to be remanded in custody to the November date when a pleas and directions hearing will open the case at the Old Bailey.
